“Depart From Us” by Fr. Michael Sparough

“Depart From Us” by Fr. Michael is based on the Gospel of Matthew 8:  28-34 and a reading from Amos.  In the Gospel reading, Jesus frees two wild men of the demons that had been possessing them. Jesus puts the demons into swine. The pigs then ran into the lake and drowned themselves. The people around were not grateful to Jesus, but rather cried out for him to leave. They were upset to lose their profit from the sale of the swine.

Fr. Michael challenges all of us in changing our hearts from wanting our agenda and personal gain to accepting God’s agenda.
